Collection: Seto Incense Tray

The Seto Incense Tray is a beautiful collaboration between Hibi and talented artisans, aimed at preserving and revitalizing traditional Japanese crafts. Located in Aichi Prefecture, Seto is one of Japan’s six oldest kilns, with a rich history dating back to the 13th century. It was the first pottery center in Japan to use glaze, creating the exquisite “setomono” (瀬戸焼, Seto-yaki) wares that are highly prized for tea ceremonies and dining, and sought after by collectors.

Hibi has partnered with local artisans to introduce the green Oribe and yellow Kiseto incense trays, celebrated for their simple, rustic charm. When you light a Hibi 10-minute aroma on the Seto tray, you experience a harmonious blend of three traditional Japanese arts: incense making, matchstick crafting, and pottery.
